Gregory James was established as a brand name by “Gregory James Robson” some 18 years ago in 1997.
Andrew Thompson, a menswear retailer based in Middleborough, acquired the brand name and began to develop shirting under the GJ name 10 years ago. From this early success the brand began to emerge as an iconic ,high quality, contemporary casual menswear collection with as ever, attention to detail,” less is more”!
The Gregory James logo took inspiration from Anthony Gormleys wonderful “Angel of the North” that sits proud in Gateshead just south of Newcastle upon Tyne, which he completed in February 1998.
With this vision and a superb collection ,the GREGORY JAMES brand is now being introduced to selected retailers in the UK.
